Accessibility statement
Last updated 19 October 2026. Draft for approval.
We want everyone to be able to find local work here, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. The site is designed to:
- work with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline
- work with screen readers, with labelled form fields and a "skip to content" link
- work on a small phone screen without sideways scrolling, and when text is enlarged
- use clear, open typefaces at comfortable sizes, and text colours that meet contrast standards
- respect "reduce motion" and "reduce transparency" settings
- never rely on colour alone to show meaning.
How we tested
On 19 October 2026 we checked the main pages with Google Lighthouse (accessibility score 100 on the homepage, job list, a job page and sign-up), used the site by keyboard alone, and checked every page at phone width (375 pixels) for anything cut off or hard to tap.
Known issues
There are no known accessibility issues at this time. The "not a robot" check on sign-up and report forms is provided by Cloudflare; if it ever gives you trouble, email us and we'll help you another way.
Tell us about a problem
If anything is hard to use, email hello@worklocalforestrow.uk and tell us the page and what happened. We'll reply within five working days, and if you need information in another format we'll provide it.
