About these terms
Work Local Forest Row ("the board", "we") is run by Ferris Creative LTD, company number 14585804. By making an account you agree to these terms, our posting rules and our privacy policy.
What the board is, and isn't
The board publishes job adverts from local businesses and profiles from local people. We are not an employment agency or employment business. We don't select, recommend or supply anyone, we aren't part of any job offer, and we don't guarantee that any job, business or applicant is suitable. Businesses and applicants deal with each other directly and should make their own checks.
Who can use it
- Job seekers must be 16 or over.
- Businesses must be within five miles of Forest Row village centre (RH18 5ES), and the person signing up must be allowed to hire for them.
- One account per person or business. Keep your password safe and tell us if you think someone else has used it.
Free for job seekers, always
Job seekers never pay. No business may ask an applicant for money in connection with a job on the board.
Your responsibilities
- Everything you post must be true, and yours to post.
- Businesses must follow the law on pay, working time, discrimination, right to work and employing young people. Following employment law is the business's responsibility, not ours.
- Businesses must only use applicants' details for the job they applied for, and delete them when they no longer need them.
- Don't use the board to harass anyone, send spam, collect people's details for anything else, or try to get around our checks.
- If you use the board as a business and you break the law or these terms, and that costs us money or leads to a legal claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs, legal fees and any damages awarded.
What you post
You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a free, worldwide licence to display, format and share it on the board, in job alert emails and in search engines (job adverts only, never profiles) for as long as it's up.
Moderation
We can refuse, hold, edit for formatting, or remove any job or profile, and suspend or close any account, that breaks these terms or the posting rules, or that we reasonably think puts people at risk. We'll tell you why, unless the law or safety stops us. You can ask us to look again: see complaints.

Our responsibility to you
We run the board with reasonable care and skill but can't promise it will always be available or error free. We aren't responsible for what businesses or applicants post, say or do, or for any decision to offer, accept or refuse a job. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We can close accounts that break these terms.
Changes and law
We'll email account holders before any change that matters. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute.
