Happy to help?

Offer to help with any role in two taps. Or tick "happy to volunteer" on your profile and pick the causes you care about, and checked local groups can ask you directly. Your details are only shared if you say yes.

Need volunteers?

Community groups, clubs, charities and local businesses within five miles of Forest Row post volunteer roles free: regular ones, or a one-off like the fete or a litter pick. We check each group once.

Fair to volunteers

  • Volunteering is never a way round paying someone. A role with set hours, targets or pay belongs on the jobs board.
  • Nobody is ever asked for money to volunteer. Expenses, if any, are shown on the role.
  • Roles with children or vulnerable adults say so, and say whether a DBS check is needed and who pays for it (the group, never you).
  • 16 and 17 year olds can help with roles marked open to them. Staying safe when you meet a new group.
